2022 Rekindling

The 2022 rekindling celebration of the freedom flame was held in Ripon Wisconsin March 20th at 6pm. Men, Women, and children came together United in freedom to form a gathering of individuals from across the globe both physically and virtually to rekindle the spirit of the initial spark that lit the flame in 1854. This tradition was set forth by a presidential proclamation 100 years later. This year's celebration and the rekindling of this flame is a symbol to all that freedom still lives in our era.

If you're a marathon runner you understand what it means to "hit the wall". If you are a computer user you understand what it means to "log on," what a "virus" is, and what it means to "crash." If you go to Starbucks you understand the difference between a "tall" and a "grande." We the people in 2022 came together for this year's rekindling demonstrate we know what it means to be "free".

It makes no difference if you are a Republican or Democrat, regardless of political affiliation or geographic location we should all agree to be united in our freedoms. Our ancestors couldn’t, we can, and our children will. We look forward to standing together again year after year to rekindle the FREEDOM FLAME and keep it burning for generations to come.
